Last weekend of MasterChef Dining!
Keystone Group - 20th Jul, 2012
It’s the last weekend of MasterChef Dining, so if you haven’t come down to experience this amazing pop up restaurant for a fabulous cocktail at the bar then you only have a couple of days left!
Here are a couple of our favourites we think you should try while you are there…
Mandarin Whisky Daisy
Mandarins are in season right now and they taste amazing! They have a really fresh bright flavour. In this daisy style of cocktail we have complimented the fresh fruit with Yellow Chartreuse, a French liqueur with lots of saffron and honey character. A bit of citrus is added and a dash of sugar too for balance.
The new Singleton of Glen Ord single malt Scotch whisky is the base spirit here. It’s a Speyside malt, meaning it has great woody aromas and fruit flavours that go great with the other ingredients. Shaken and served over ice.

Passionfruit Fix
This has been one of the most popular cocktails at The MasterChef Dining Pop Up Bar. Everyone is loving the fresh passionfruit paired with the awesome Tanqueray No. 10 Gin. Tanq 10 is a really citrusy gin that goes well with the fruit.
It’s also a bit stronger so gives the cocktail a zing. The mix is sweetened by a Caribbean spiced syrup called falernum, which is made from almonds, ginger, cloves and lime peel. To finish we put in a little bit of white wine – a sauvignon blanc which gives it a little extra palate weight. Shaken served short over ice and garnished with a sprig of mint.
