It's a wrap
Keystone Group - 1st Feb, 2012
Saturday the 28th saw the close of the very successful Keystone Festival Bar at Hyde Park Barracks Museum and it’s days like this that just evoke the need to reminisce on the 3 weeks of fun that was our involvement in Sydney Festival 2012.
Without the calling of sunny beaches this January it was all too easy to rebel against our usual summer time regime and become children of the night to experience all that the Keystone Festival bar had to offer. Beach bags and sunscreen gathered dust as our dancing shoes and livers got a January workout to remember.
Rain, hail or shine, with the likes of Whitest Boy Alive, Nouvelle Vague and Asa and Féfé the show didn’t only go on, but it “went off” filling the historic site with fun loving Sydney siders, falling in love with their faviourite music all over again. Dan Deacon proved that interpretive group dance is no longer just a thing of the nineties and we witnessed the Petrito Martinez Group rival the Australia Day fireworks in Darling Harbour in terms of pulling a crowd on the 26th January.
Needless to say after 15 days of exposure to some of the best musicians the world has to offer, all our iPods are in desperate need of an update.
