Summer Dishes
Keystone Group - 18th Jan, 2012
It’s summer in Sydney and the sun should be shining… but often isn’t. We’re keeping the faith that warm weather is around the corner, so here are 3 of our favourite dishes this summer.
Fish & Chips by the beach
Sandy feet are welcome at Manly Wine, so pop in for lunch after a dip at the beach and try the Fish and Chips. We think they taste better by the water. Not complete without the famous fryer basket and quirky retro newspaper, this dish is worth crossing the bridge for.
Where: Manly Wine, 8-13 South Steyne, Manly
When: Everyday til late
The Damage: A huge serving for $24

Tacos at The Sugarmill
Sydney’s having a love affair with Mexican food, but we’re not complaining! We love Sugarmill’s Fish Tacos with Grilled Whiting, crunchy fennel and radish slaw and salsa fresca. Great on a hot day, washed down with a cold beer.
Where: Sugarmill, 33 Darlinghurst Rd King Cross
When: Everyday until 4am
The Damage: A bargain at 2 for $10 price from new menu

Ice Cream Sandwich at Bungalow 8
It’s just not summer without ice cream, and we can’t get enough of the Banana Ice Cream Sandwich at Bungalow 8. Mango and passionfruit are the perfect match for the rich chocolate brownie and creamy ice cream, making this a delicious summer treat. But the crunchy peanut brittle takes it to another level, so make sure you save room for dessert!
Where: Bungalow 8, No 8 The Promenade, King St Wharf
When: Everyday from 12pm
The Damage: The best $13 you’ll spend all summer
